In that class I’m taking there was an interesting question posed which basically asked if there was anything that we could do to make a difference. I thought I would share with you all my response:
Yes, I have to believe that we can affect that future, otherwise I would be utterly without hope for my children.
I believe that each of us can make a difference.
If we stand up for what is right, not just what is popular or accepted.
If we say NO to the politicians that are out to get theirs and make their supporters rich.
If we say NO to politicians that expect the government to save the world
If we say NO to the entitlement mentality and do the work necessary to raise our children to be law abiding, hard working citizens that expect nothing from the government and work to get what they want.
If we stop the frivolous waste of trillions of dollars a year that are allowing people to not be responsible for themselves and their families.
If we are willing to make the hard choice, sacrifice some of our creature comforts (does everyone in the country really need 2-3 cars, a cellphone, cable tv and a house the size of the taj mahal?) and take some responsibility for what is happening around us I TRULY believe we can make this country a better place for our children.
What do YOU think?
Eric
